Music
The music department of Weimar College is designed “to serve a holy purpose, to lift the thoughts to that which is pure, noble, and elevating, and to awaken in the soul devotion and gratitude to God (Patriarchs and Prophets 594).” It is our goal to employ the gift of music to glorify God, not to exalt self. Through the music courses, we strive to cultivate the musical talents of individuals that they may become musical evangelists, using sacred music as a power to win souls to Christ (Evangelism 504). Currently, courses offered in the music department include College Choir, College Orchestra, and studio instruction in voice, piano, string instruments, and wind instruments.
