Near the mid-way point of the fall semester, September 25-28, the Weimar Institute Board of Directors returned to campus. Following their meetings, the beginning of the Sabbath was spent in heart-warming, yet convicting reflection upon the second coming of Jesus and hastening His arrival. Through Dr. Philip Mills, the chairman of the board, the Holy Spirit admonished students, staff, and visitors with, “Let the Savior take away your sin, or your sin will take away your Savior”. Sabbath morning was spent in corporate recollection and report of God’s hand at work in the churches and communities of the Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division, led by Dr. Nedley and Paul Ratsara, the Southern Africa Indian Ocean Division president. The congregation was energized and inspired by, “The great commission isn’t a great suggestion”. The Sabbath hours spent with the Board were a blessing; we praise the Lord for the Board’s whole-hearted dedication to Weimar. Board of Directors Weekend was once again another high point in the semester, a time that inspires students and staff to keep serving God in the roles He has placed us in right now.
