Dr. Christina Harris was baptized into the Seventh-day Adventist church in January 1999 and attended the ARISE Institute as part of its inaugural class in 2003. After several years working in the pharmaceutical industry as an organic/medicinal chemist on projects related to anti-bacterial drugs and becoming an author on several patents, she came to Weimar University in 2010. Since then, she has taught Survey of Chemistry, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Issues in Origins, and the Natural Science Capstone courses. Dr. Harris enjoys being in the classroom and aims to find connections between science, Scripture, and the Spirit of Prophecy in each of her classes.

Dr. Harris’ post-secondary education began at Oklahoma State University, where she graduated with a BS in Chemistry. Later she attended graduate school at the University of Colorado, Boulder campus, where she graduated with a Ph.D. in organic chemistry (2017). Her post-graduate education continued with a post-doctoral fellowship at the Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, where she worked on synthesizing a novel cancer drug, epothilone. She became the author of over 20 peer-reviewed research papers during this time.
