Chair of General Education Department
Teacher. Missionary. Language Enthusiast. Jennita Ruud was born in Canada, but since age seven has also lived in Mexico, USA, and Honduras. Spending more than a decade living and working in Latin America inspired her passion for missions, languages, and teaching. In 2013, Jennita completed her studies in elementary education and, for the next five years, taught in a bilingual school. 2019 was another milestone in Jennita’s education and teaching career when she and her husband Jensen moved back to the USA. Jennita began her graduate studies and teaching English at the college level.
As an instructor, Jennita seeks creative ways to make English practical for her students and to encourage them to honor God while serving and blessing others through the gift of cultivated communication. When not in the classroom, Jennita is probably traveling, studying, cooking, gardening, spending quality time with friends, and/or sharing what Jesus has done for her. Currently, Jennita serves as English faculty at Weimar University and is happily married to her husband Jensen, who serves as a math instructor for Weimar Academy.
