Many of the chamber singers, like Alec, have experienced how the power of music in their own lives has changed their hearts. “Growing up, choir was always a part of my life,” Shiloh Howard recalls, “And since coming to Weimar, I have been grateful for the opportunity to sing as a ministry to tired and broken hearts.” Each year, the Chamber Singers tour through a part of California and sing multiple concerts in their local area. While the Chamber Singers reach many hearts through song each year, singers like Shiloh want to expand their reach on a broader scale. “I want to do more, to reach more, to sing more,” Shiloh says. “Now, we have the opportunity! I can’t wait to share Jesus through song with the people of New Zealand in May of 2024!” Excitement to share Jesus through song sets the Weimar University Chamber Singers apart from other groups and allows their impact to be profound and heartfelt.
The Chamber Singers’ tour to New Zealand will be a thirteen-day trip from takeoff on May 14 to landing on May 27. They will perform in six locations in New Zealand, filming music videos and enjoying the beautiful landscape for several days.
