Weimar Institute Nursing program among top 100 nursing schools in the West Program is also among top 75 in California, according to Nursing Schools Almanac
Weimar Institute Nursing program has garnered attention from a national organization for the second year in a row.
The Nursing Schools Almanac has named Weimar Institute among its top 100 nursing schools in the West. This region encompasses schools in 11 states: Alaska, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
It was also named among the top 75 nursing schools in California, moving up one slot from last year to #50.
These rankings are determined by three criteria:
- The institution’s academic prestige and perceived value
- The breadth and depth of nursing programs offered
- Student success, particularly on the NCLEX licensure examination
Dr. Neil Nedley, Weimar Institute president, noted, “When the board of nursing came to do our first five-year year review (since our program just started five years ago), the representative stated the California nursing board receives stellar reports about both Weimar’s clinical and classroom instruction. To be ranked this high for a program that has just 5 years of operation is truly unprecedented. But what makes our Weimar students exceptional is the additional nutrition and lifestyle instruction as well as the spiritual care and total community involvement every nursing student receives. We can only praise God for what He has and is accomplishing at Weimar through Dr. Follett and her great team of faculty.”
Leaders also cited the combined efforts of the dedicated faculty who have selflessly nurtured Weimar Institute nursing students and the nursing students who have focused their time and attention on gaining Christ-based mindset and nursing skills. Together, they are striving to heal a hurting world. This honor is confirmation from nursing professionals of Weimar Institute’s intent to follow Jesus by developing leaders in comprehensive health evangelism through competent modeling and education – both theoretical and practical.
